The Buildrite team recommended a complete overhaul, starting with the removal of old tiles. The restoration process involved using Buildrite Confix LV as a bonding agent to ensure adhesion to the old substrate, followed by Buildrite Hardcrete 510 to create a smooth, high-strength (5000 psi) base. Buildrite Epocoat MB was then applied as a moisture barrier to protect the system. Finally, Buildrite Epocoat FC was installed to provide a durable, glossy, and seamless finish that is easy to sanitize and withstands the harsh laboratory environment. 1. Application of bonding agent - Old concrete and new concrete will never be monolithic unless we use a bonding agent. We use CONFIX LV as a bonding agent to ensure the bonding of the topping to the old substrate 2. Application of floor topping - The substrate was damaged due to the removal of the tiles. It also promotes good adhesion of the topcoat to the substrate. 4.
