CONFIX EC is a three-part, epoxy-modified cementitious, fine-textured mortar for self-smoothing floor screeds in thin layers of 1.5 to 3 mm. It is easy and quick to apply and forms an ideal substrate for the application of self-leveling coatings. CONFIX EC can be coated with epoxy polyurethane system after just 24 hours even when applied to concrete that is damp, not fully cured or exposed to rising moisture. It helps prevent and ensure proper adhesion of resin coatings. CONFIX EC is a solvent-free product supplied in predosed packaging and is easy to apply to form a flat, smooth finish. The final performance characteristics of CONFIX EC guarantee an excellent bond with hardened concrete, even when not fully cured and still damp. The product is highly durable and offers excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals. CONFIX EC offers excellent resistance to water and oil, and resists attacks from de-icing salts. It has improved chemical resistance over plain concrete in aggressive environments but is not designed as chemical protection.
