A swimming pool waterproofing system must serve two critical functions: preventing water loss from within and protecting the internal reinforcement from corrosion caused by external moisture and air. To achieve this, the system must be capable of resisting both positive water pressure (from the pool water) and negative water pressure (from the surrounding soil).

For her residential pool project in Paombong, Bulacan, Engineer Amie Obed reached out to our customer service for a technical recommendation. Although she had explored other options, she ultimately chose Buildrite due to the depth of technical expertise and on-site support we provided.

Our team recommended Buildrite Crystor, a crystalline waterproofing system that creates a permanent, impervious barrier within the concrete itself. When exposed to moisture, the active chemicals in Crystor penetrate the concrete's pores and react with free lime to form insoluble crystals. This process effectively blocks capillaries and self-seals non-structural hairline cracks caused by shrinkage.

To complete the system, the project is currently in the application phase for Buildrite Blockout Etl, which will provide a smooth, durable, and chemically resistant finish.
